We are so much more than just a program. We are the Like a Lion Family - a space where all our students are known and loved.
Our mission is to provide academic, emotional, and spiritual support to youth on the east side of Indy through our after-school program and summer camp.

From summer camp to after school, our programs offer enrichment, academic support, and real relationships that last. Both programs are designed to meet kids where they are and help them grow into who they’re meant to be.
We design our programs to reflect what we believe: every child deserves to be deeply known, consistently supported, and given the space to grow into who they’re meant to be. Our values aren’t just words. They guide every decision we make and shape how we show up each day.

We believe transformation happens in relationships, and we can’t do this work alone. From serving meals to reading with students to helping us prep for activities, our supporters are a vital part of the Like a Lion family. What started as a traveling summer camp has grown into something so much bigger.
With over a decade of service to the east side of Indy, Like a Lion’s after-school program and summer camp have grown so much over the years. We are proud of where we have been and even more proud of where we are going!

We don’t claim to have the “secret sauce” of a perfect program, but we do promise to show up every day and give our students the best we can!
